Do QR Codes expire?
Updated over a month ago

Static QR codes do not expire. Once created, they remain usable indefinitely, containing fixed information directly within the code. This means that as long as the URL or information they point to remains active, the QR code will continue to work.

On the other hand, dynamic QR codes function differently. These codes do not store the final information directly; instead, they link to a URL that can be updated. This flexibility often requires a subscription or payment plan with a QR code service provider. If the payment for the plan is not maintained, the QR code might stop working because the service hosting the redirect URL could be disabled. However, as long as the subscription or payment is up to date, dynamic QR codes will continue to function without interruption or expiration. This allows for ongoing updates and tracking, making them versatile for many applications.
